In October of 2005, Heather and Sean took a trip to Italy. They had an amazing time, starting in
Rome, then going to Tuscany and Florence.

We flew into Rome, and stayed at Hotel Fortyseven a three minute walk from the Roman Forum.
While in Rome, we enjoyed many wonderful adventures including: walking the track at
Circus Maximus, seeing the oculus of the Pantheon, visiting Piazza Navona (in the rain), Mussolini's
enormous Wedding Cake Building, and of course we visited St. Peter's Basilica and the nearby
St. Angelo's Castle.

On day four of our trip, we boarded a train in Rome and headed toward the quaint Tuscany town of
Figline Valdarno. While in Figline, we were blessed to be able to stay in the amazing Casagrande (Hotel's Website) a 13th
Century Villa once visited by Popes and such historical figures as Niccolo Machiavelli (author of The Prince).
Our time in Figline gave us an opportunity to see the real Italian life, eat some amazing meals, and
take a one day train trip to Florence.
